What this world needs is a little more adventure. Nothing beats the feeling of being at the peak of a really tall mountain, or knowing that you just pedaled a little further than you had before. I’m not saying that your problems disappear, but once you block out the voices in your head saying that it’s just too hard, and that you should just give up, I promise it gets easier. Your legs will hurt, and your mind will race, but once you come to terms with the fact that all you need to get through it is perseverance, things fall into place.
At the top of a mountain, everything down below seems so small. At the top of the mountain, everything looks so green. More importantly, at the top of the mountain, your heart feels so full that you regain the energy to go back down and face the problems or people that made you want to hike up there in the first place. What this world needs is adventure. The kind that will make you feel scared, but accomplished at the same time. The kind that will make you question what you stand for and what you are willing to change. And the kind that will make you love this planet and the people in it.
I’m convinced all this world needs is a little more adventure. And along with that comes compassion, and understanding; the desire to do more and push yourself further. Luckily, we don’t have to go very far in order to start, being at 7,000 ft. above sea level definitely has its advantages. Your next adventure awaits, all you need are some snacks and an open mind.
